How is my payment protected?
When you pay for a service, your funds are held in Safe Hold escrow via Flutterwave. The provider doesn't receive payment until you approve the delivery. If you don't take action within the review window, the system auto-approves on your behalf — but you can always request revisions or open a dispute first.
What happens if a provider doesn't deliver?
You can request revisions, open a dispute, or cancel the order based on our Refund Policy. AfriValue's review team will examine evidence from both sides and issue a fair resolution. If the provider clearly hasn't delivered, you'll get a full refund.
How do I become a verified provider?
Sign up for free, then complete identity verification (government ID + selfie) via YouVerify. Once approved, accept the Service Provider Agreement and create your first service listing. If all required fields are filled, your service goes live immediately.
What is the membership for?
The $10/month membership unlocks full provider features: unlimited messaging with clients, unlimited service listings, and order management. New providers get the first 3 months free as a trial. Without active membership, you can browse but can't create listings or respond to messages.
Are reviews fair?
Yes — reviews can only be left after a completed transaction, attached to a real order. Both parties can review each other. Our team monitors for fake or retaliatory reviews and removes them. Your review history follows you — it's part of how providers earn higher Levels 1, 2, and 3.
Which countries can use AfriValue?
AfriValue is built for Africa and the diaspora. Service providers must be located in or have ties to Africa. Clients can be anywhere in the world. Payments are processed via Flutterwave, which supports most major African and international cards.
